Sending messages and other native writes are off by default, so an agent cannot act outward without your say so. To enable them, set CREATOR_API_ENABLE_WRITES=1.

How do I connect it to Claude?

In Claude, open Settings, then Connectors, then Add custom connector, and paste https://api.creator-api.com/mcp. Sign in with your CreatorAPI account through OAuth. No key to paste and nothing to install.

Does it work with ChatGPT?

Yes. Add the same URL as a connector in ChatGPT and sign in. The flow is verified end to end with both Claude and ChatGPT.

Can I run it locally?

Yes. Run uvx creator-api-mcp with your ca_live_ key. It works in Claude Desktop, Cursor, Windsurf, Cline and Claude Code.

Can the agent send messages on its own?

No, not by default. Outbound writes are off unless you set CREATOR_API_ENABLE_WRITES to 1.
